10/12/2012Go Greg Go!

As October came to an end our fabulous Dr Greg Pierre, did us all very proud and ran half a marathon for GET KIDS GOING Charity at the O2.

He did an amazing job of running it in just 1 hour 53 minutes.

On behalf of all at Altmore Dental Care and your patients, we would like to say a huge congratulations for completing the event. We hope you feel extremely proud of yourself for what you have achieved and that you are showing off your medal to all your friends and family!

It was truly inspiring witnessing thousands upon thousands like you cross the finish line, knowing that it was the final point of what for many of you was a very long training journey. We hope that DJ Fresh playing his iconic tunes helped you forget about your heavy legs momentarily and embrace the festival atmosphere!

We raised approx £400 in total for our great charity Get Kids Going.  www.getkidsgoing.com

A BIG thank you to all those you donated online and in the practice

We now Look forward to you running for the real, 26 mile London Marathon.! Go Greg Go!!!!! and well done again.

21/09/2012What a busy Summer!

So, Autumn is now upon us. Where did the Summer go?

The holidays were a very busy time for the team, which normally are quiet due to people travelling and children off school, but we have been lucky enough to still be taking on new patients.

A big THANK YOU to all those patients who have recommended us to friends and family. Also, thank you to all those who write reviews online about the team and practice we are very grateful.

Before the summer we welcomed Louise Hutchings, who is our new receptionist helping run the front desk with Sophia to our usual high standard, to offer the best service to all our lovely patients. Welcome Louise!

In October we will be supporting, Louisa Clarke one of our fabulous hygienists and Greg Pierre one of our amazing dentists, run a HALF MARATHON in aid of a disabled children’s charity GET KIDS GOING! It takes place at the O2 in Greenwich 28th October. We are trying to raise a minimum of £2,000 so please help us by donating if you can and remember every little helps! www.virginmoneygiving.com/AltmoreRunners.

Altmore Dental Are Running Half Marathon

25/04/2012Happy Easter! A new season fresh new start!

We welcome to the fantastic Altmore Team, Sophia Pettman who is our new practice manageress.

We are lucky enough to have Sophia join us from another dental practice. The Altmore Dental Practice was her childhood practice and she is delighted to have returned. Whilst working within dentistry for the past 5 years she has lots of experience in particular, dealing with children and nervous patients.

We also had a few celebrations last month. We celebrated the birthdays of Louise Cottage (one of our fantastic Hygienists) and Greg.  Stephanie also celebrated her birthday in March plus a fantastic ten years of service to Altmore Dental Care!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

We are delighted to say, we are still overwhelmed with new patients registering with us, long may it continue and a BIG THANKS to you all.

06/02/2012January 2012

They say that you should always be careful for what you wish for. There may be some truth in the statement.

For the last three months we have been overwhelmed with new patients registering with us. The first two weeks of January saw 105 new patient registrations. This is meant to be our quiet time, however it means that the level of service we offer is in high demand.

Greg, and I are delighted that our internet reviews are bringing in so many new patients. It means that we must be doing something right.

15/11/20112011 What a year!!!

As I sat working out what to write about in our first blog, I was amazed at what the year has brought for us at Altmore Dental Care. Six years have elapsed almost to the day since Greg and I took the reins and started the transformation into what we are now.

We have once again had our busiest year ever. This is up from the previous five and long may it continue. If I had to nail my colours to the mast and state what has made us continue to grow when the entire world seems to be collapsing around our ears, it is that we have a very, very good and friendly team. People comment on the light hearted atmosphere in the practice. It is cultivated from not wanting a stuffy, starchy team of people. Good coffee also helps!

Summer this year saw two fantasic events take place. The first was Greg’s marriage to Vanita. An amazing day had by all, and we wish them a long and happy future together.
The next was our selection by the Elite Dental Awards as finalists for practice of the year. Our thanks to Elite for a great day, and a great evening out (further information at www.dental-practice.org).

We have also once again achieved the BDA good practice award for the third successive year. We proudly display the plaque on the wall outside the practice as well as at reception (further information at www.bda.org/gps).
