Salvation Army Donation 2012

As is customary for December and the season of good will to all mankind,the Altmore Dental Practice took part in its annual social responsibility project.
Today Greg Pierre on behalf of the Altmore Dental Practice, donated over one hundred dental sundries including toothpaste and floss to The Salvation Army Shelter based here in E14.
The Salvation Army’s Detoxification Unit at Greig House provides a structured programme for detoxification from drugs/alcohol for men and women over the age of 18. The detoxification period lasts 6-20 days. Residents are medically assessed and their treatment programmes are designed to reflect their individual needs. The Centre also provides a relapse prevention programme.The aim of the centre is to provide an environment conducive with helping residents work towards an abstinence based lifestyle. 
Greg had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff and volunteers (see photo),and was immensely impressed with the projects that Salvation Army (Greig House) currently have underway. Long may their good work continue…
